Web 2.0 is an attempt to explain the use of the latest technology and updates as compared to the basic functions the original Internet had to offer. If the current Internet is considered Web 2.0 it’s safe to consider the earliest form of Internet Web 1.0. These enumerations are purely fictional, however.
Some of the latest technologies are a part of Web 2.0. This includes file and image sharing, social networking and other types of media interchange. Companies are now finding that they can use these technologies to their advantage. Social media marketing is now an accepted form of online marketing, with favorable results.
Web 2.0 has changed the way we look at and use the Internet. The web has become a serious place to do business as well as to socialize. The latest technologies continue to be updated, making the Internet a viable place for business.
